Furious LA Knight breaks silence after heartbreaking loss against Bloodline’s Tama Tonga on SmackDown
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

LA Knight suffered a heavy loss against Tama Tonga in the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring tournament. Although he maintained the upper hand on the MFT, interference from The Bloodline completely changed the game. Heartbroken by the loss, The Megastar expressed his thoughts in an exclusive backstage interview.

The 41-year-old star was visibly upset and angry over the fact that he wasn’t fighting the battle one-on-one. LA Knight stated that he could only keep his focus on Tama Tonga rather than worrying about other Bloodline members. Even though the loss meant that he was eliminated from the tournament, he intended to move forward because he didn’t know how to quit.

After an emphatic victory over Santos Escobar at a live event, Knight faced off against Tonga in a quarterfinal on the latest episode of SmackDown. As he looked to finish the match with the Blunt Force Trauma, Tonga Loa saved his brother, diverting the Megastar’s attention. Unfortunately, he had only one set of eyes, allowing the son of the former King of the Ring winner to pick up the win with a reverse STO.

You got three savages out there. Look, there’s only so much I can do. I can only keep so many eyes in so many sides of my head. Here’s the deal. Yeah, King of the Ring ain’t happening for me, boo-hoo. What can you do about it? I can’t do a damn thing about it but keep moving forward. LA Knight via exclusive backstage interview

Although he quickly brushed off the loss, he did take an indirect shot at the new SmackDown Superstar, Carmelo Hayes . “HIM” has gotten the attention of many superstars in a negative way, often boasting about being the first-round draft pick. Moreover, both superstars even had an altercation after Melo mocked Knight for his loss. This subtle dig could lead to a heated rivalry between the two.

Will LA Knight join Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to fight against The Bloodline?

The Megastar is no stranger to The Bloodline and its shenanigans. Since WrestleMania XL, the new version of the dominant faction has made many enemies. Currently, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are the stars who have a bone to pick with them. Knight could join forces with them to fend them off.

The Viper spent two years recovering from an injury inflicted by The Bloodline and has been plotting his revenge since his return. He and the Prizefighter lost the Street Fight against Solo and his MFT. The 14-time world champion has been looking to take revenge for what they did to his tag team partner.

He will get a chance to destroy Tonga when they meet in the semifinal match of the King of the Ring tournament next Friday. Having suffered a loss, Knight will surely keep his eyes on the match. It will be interesting to see if he comes out to help Orton against The Bloodline.
